Şizofreni hastalarına eşlik eden bazı yapısal veya genetik hastalıkların varlığı dikkat çekmekte olup, bu birliktelikler şizofreninin etiyolojik nedenlerinin araştırılmasında önem arz etmektedir. Bu vakada Fallot tetralojisi (‘tetralogy of Fallot’, TOF), situs inversus totalis (SIT) ve şizofreni tablosunun bir arada olduğu görülmüştür. TOF siyanotik doğumsal bir kalp hastalığıdır ve bilinen sebepleri arasında 22q11 delesyonu ve trizomi 21 vardır. SİT, kalp dahil viseral organların normal pozisyonlarının ayna görüntüsü halinde yer değiştirdiği doğumsal bir durumdur. TOF ve SITbirlikteliği oldukça nadirdir. Bu nadir birlikteliğe bu vakada şizofreni eklenmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda bu birliktelik ve olası nedensel ilişkiler tartışılmış ve iç organlarda olan yer değiştirmenin beyin lateralizasyonuna nasıl yansıdığına dair araştırma bulgularımız sunulmuştur.

The comorbidity of structural or genetic diseases with schizophrenia is seen as an opportunity to understand the formation of schizophrenia. This case report presents a patient with comorbidity of schizophrenia, tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) and total situs inversus. TOF is a cyanotic heart disease, which can be linked to 22q11 deletion and trisomy 21. Situs inversus totalis (SIT) is a congenital condition in which the major visceral organs, including the heart, are positioned in a mirror image from normal conditions. The comorbidity of TOF and SIT is quite rare. In our case report, schizophrenia is added to this rare comorbidity. This case report discussed the comorbidity and probable causal relationships. Furthermore, the research method of how transposition in internal organs is reflected in brain lateralization is also presented.
