Bu araştırmanın amacı, Parker ve Asher (1993) tarafından geliştirilen Arkadaşlık Niteliği Ölçeği’ni (Friendship Quality Questionnaire, FQQ) Türkçe’ye uyarlamak ve ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerini incelemektir. Araştırma 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılı ikinci döneminde Malatya il merkezinde bulunan okullarda öğrenim gören ve toplam 1197 öğrenciden oluşan 4 ayrı çalışma grubu üzerinde yürütülmüştür. FQQ’nun Türkçe’ye uyarlanması sürecinde öncelikle ölçeğin dilsel eşdeğerliği incelenmiş ve Türkçe ile İngilizce formlarından elde edilen puanlar arasında pozitif yönde, güçlü ve anlamlı korelasyon katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda, Arkadaşlık Niteliği Ölçeği’nin Türkçe formunun orijinal forma paralel altı faktörlü bir yapıya sahip olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ölçeğin ayırt edicilik geçerliği çalışmasından elde edilen bulgular; Arkadaşlık Niteliği Ölçeği ile Çocuklar İçin Yalnızlık Ölçeği arasındaki korelasyonun -.48 olduğunu göstermiştir. Güvenirlik analizi sonucunda ölçeğin iç tutarlık katsayısı ölçeğin tümü için .89 ve test-tekrar test güvenirlik katsayısı için .92 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara dayanarak, ANÖ’nin Türkçe formunun 3. ve 6. sınıflar arasında okuyan çocukların arkadaşlık niteliklerini ölçmek amacıyla kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu söylenebilir.

The aim of this study is to adapt the Friendship Quality Questionnaire (FQQ) developed by Parker and Asher (1993) to Turkish and examine the psychometric properties of the scale. The research was conducted on four separate study groups consisting of a total of 1,197 students studying at schools located in the city centre of Malatya in the second term of 2012-2013 academic year. During the adaptation of FQQ to Turkish, the linguistic equivalence of the scale was first examined and a positively strong and significant correlation was found between the scores obtained from the Turkish and English forms. As a result of Exploratory and Confirmatory factor analysis, the Turkish form of the FQQ was found out to have a structure with six factors in parallel with the original version. The findings obtained from the divergent validity study of the scale showed that the correlation between the FQQ and Children's Loneliness Scale was -.48. The internal consistency coefficients of the scale was calculated to be .89 and test-retest reliability coefficient to be .92 as a consequence of reliability analysis. Based on the findings obtained from this study, the Turkish version of FQQ can be said to be a reliable and valid measurement tool to assess the friendship quality of the children between 3rd and 6th grades.
