OKB’nin bir alt türü olan dini obsesyon ve kompulsiyonların psikoterapisinde, dini tercih ve bağlılıkların durumun merkezinde olması hassas dengeleri sakınmayı, süreci hastanın kişisel sınırlarına girmeden dikkatle sürdürmenin önemini belirginleştirmektedir. Terapist, bir yandan elindeki etyolojik açıklamaları ve bunun gerektirdiği müdahaleleri uygulamak konusunda üzerine düşenleri yapmaya çalışmakta bir yandan da danışanın inanç özgünlüğünü zedeleyici her hangi bir anlayış ve müdahaleden kaçınmaya çalışmaktadır. Obsesyonların psikolojik etyolojisi ve psikoterapisi kuramsal yaklaşımlara göre farklılık göstermektedir. Bu yazıda alanda açıklama ve etkililikleri en çok tartışılan temel kuramlar Psikanalitik Psikoterapi, Davranışçı Psikoterapi, Bilişsel Davranışçı Psikoterapi akımlarının, dini obsesyon ve kompulsiyonlara dair etyolojik açıklamaları, temel müdahaleleri teorik bilgi ve bir vaka örneği eşliğinde sunulmuş, mevcut kuramların, bu alandaki katkıları ve sınırlılıkları tartışılarak, teori ve uygulamada yeni imkanlara dair bilgi ve öneri verilmiştir.

In the psychotherapy scrupulsity that is a subtype of OCD, concentrate on religious preferences and devotions, emphasize the importance of careful attending to the process without breaking the patient's personal boundaries. The therapist tries to do what he has to do in order to apply the etiological explanations in his hand and the interventions it requires, while at the same time trying to avoid the patienst’s belief originality from any damaging understanding and intervention. Psychological etiology and psychotherapy of obsessions differ according to theoretical approaches. With in the framework in this article Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Behavioral Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy currents have been presented with their etiological explanations of religious obsessions and compulsions and their basic interventions in the context of theoretical knowledge and a case study. Also contribution and limits of current theories have been discussed and there have been suggestions on innovative possibilities in theory and practice.
