Nefazodon: İkili Etkili Yeni Bir Antidepresan

Nefazodon, serotonin sistemi üzerinde olan ikili etkisi nedeniyle depresyon tedavisinde kullanılan, seçici serotonerjik etkisi olan ilaçlardan farklı yeni bir antidepresandır. Major depresyonun diğer belirtilerine ek olarak olumlu yan etki profili ve anksiyete ile ajitasyon üzerine olan hızlı etkisi gibi klinik üstünlüklerinden bu özellikleri sorumlu tutulmaktadır. Bu yazıda nefazodonun klinik farmakolojisi, etkililiği, emniyeti ve yan etki profili gözden geçirilmiştir.
Nefazodone: An Antidepressant with Dual Action
Nefazodone is a novel antidepressant that differs from existing selectively acting serotonergic agents used in the treatment of depression by its dual action on the serotonin system. These properties may account for clinical advantages including highly favorable side effect profile and prompt effect on anxiety and agitation in addition to the other symptoms of major depression. This article reviews the clinical pharmacology, efficacy, safety and adverse events profile of nefazodone.
