Giriş: Ayrılma ergenlik dönemi sürecinde anahtar kavramlardan biri olup kayıp, yas, umutsuzluk, korku ve coşku gibi çeşitli duyguları içermektedir. Yataklı bir ruh sağlığı kliniği ortamında tedavi gören ergenler için taburculuk süreci “servisten ayrılma” anlamı taşımaktadır ve bu da çalışılması gereken süreçlerden biridir. Yöntem: Bu makale, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Çocuk ve Ergen Ruh Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Yataklı Servis Biriminde uygulanan ‘Ayrılık Grubu’ terapi sürecini tanıtma amacı taşımaktadır. Ayrıca bir olgunun grup süreci de daha ayrıntılı biçimde tanımlanmıştır. Tartışma: Taburculuk süreci hem olumlu deneyimleri geride bırakmak hem de sorunlarla dolu dış dünyaya geri dönmek anlamını taşıdığından özellikle zorlayıcı olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle hastalara ayrılma sürecini çalışabilmek üzere fırsatlar sunmak ve özellikle bu amaca yönelik tasarlanmış bir grup terapisi uygulaması ile gençleri desteklemek büyük önem taşımaktadır.

Separation is one of the key concepts during adolescence and it contains various emotions such as loss, grief, despair, enthusiasm and fear. For the adolescents in an inpatient mental health treatment setting, the discharge period means “separation from the unit” and it needs to be worked through. This paper introduces a separation group therapy application in Dokuz Eylul University Child and Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The data is followed by a case vignette. Discharge period is challenging because it contains both leaving the positive experiences behind and returning back to the external world of problems. Therefore it is crucial to provide these patients with opportunities to work through separation and to support them with a group therapy application designed speciÀ cally to serve this aim
