Denetim Odakları Farklı İlköğretim Öğretmenlerinin Bazı Değişkenlere Göre Tükenmişlik Düzeyleri

Bu araştırmada ilkokul öğretmenlerdeki denetim odağı, cinsiyet, yaş ve hizmet süresi ile tükenmişlik arasındaki ilişkiler incelenm iştir . 1997-1998 öğretini yılı ikine i döneminde çeşitli ilköğretim okullarının akademesinde görev yapan 112 Öğretmene, Rotter’in (1996) geliştirdiği “Rotter’in İç-Dış Kontrol Odağı Öl-çeği” ile Seidman ve Zager (1986-87) tarafından geliş-tirilen “Öğretmen Tükenmişliği Ölçeği” uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin “Rotter’in İç-Dış Kontrol Odağı Ölçeği’i'nden aldıkları puanlara göre uç grupları belirlemek için yapılan işlemlerden sonra içsel boyutlu 36 ve dışsal boyutlu 34 olmak üzere toplam 70 öğretmen örneklem oluşturmuştur. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde iki yönlü varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları , öğretmenlerin içsel ya da dışsal denetim odağına sahip olmaları açısından Öğretmen Tükenmişliği Ölçeğ' nin dört alt ölçek puanlarında önemli farklılıklar olduğunu göstermiştir. Sonuçlardan dış denetim odaklı öğretmenlerin daha çok tükenmişlik yaşadıkları anlaşılmıştır. Ayrıca erkek öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik puanları kadın öğretmenlere göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur.
Burnout of Primary School Teachers with Different Levels Locus of Control in Terms of Some Variables
In this study therelationship behveen locus of cont-rol of primary school teachers and teacher burnout was examined, Teachers' age, gender and experience were also considered. In 1997-1998 spring semester, 112 teachers who vvorked in several primary schools completed the Tlnternal-Externaf Locus of Control Scale ” developed by Rotter (1966) and “Teacher Bur-nout Scale” developed by Seidman and Zager (1986- 87). In order to identify extreme groupsfor Rotter's In ternal-External Locus of Control Scale a specific pro- cedure was used. The sample consisted of 36 teachers with internal locus of control and 34 teachers with external locus of control (total 70 teachers). Two-way analyze of variance was used to analysis data derived from the study, The residts shovved that thereare significant dijferences in four subscales of Teacher Burnout Scale in terms of having internal or external locus of control. More specifically, teachers with external locus of control expressed much more bornout. In addition, male teachers' scores of burnout were higher than those of female teachers.
