Bu çalışmada, Alzheimer Hastalığını Değerlendirme Skalası kognitif skalasının (ADAS-cog) bir normal Türk erişkin örnekleminde betimsel istatistik değerleri (aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, medyan, 25. ve 75. persantil değerleri) saptanmıştır. ADAS-cog skalası Türkçe formunun psikometrik analiz çalışmaları, skalanın Türkçe formunun güvenilir ve geçerli bir ölçüm aracı olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Çalışmanın verileri, ADAS-cog skalasının, üç düzeydeki yaş ve dört düzeydeki eğitim değişkenlerine göre her bir yaş-eğitim değişkenleri kesişimi hücresine 15 kişi gelecek şekilde seçilmiş 180 normal erişkine uygulanmasıyla toplanmıştır. Bu çalışma ile ADAS-cog skalasının ülkemizdeki klinik çalışmalarda kullanılabilecek değerlendirme kriterleri tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, the descriptive statistics (mean, standart deviation, median, 25th and 75th persantile values) for Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Scale (ADAS-cog) in a normal adult Turkish sample is determined. The psychometric analysis of the Turkish form of the ADAS-cog scale showed that the Turkish form of the scale is a reliable and valid evaluation tool. The data of the study is collected by applying the ADAS-cog scale to 180 normal adults who were selected according to age and education variables; there were three age levels and four education levels and each cell in the intersection of the levels of age-education variables had 15 subjects. With this study the evaluation criterias for the ADAS-cog scale scores which could be used in the clinical trials in our country is determined.
