Bu araştırmada Çok Yönlü Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeğinin {ÇBASD) geçerlik ve gü­venirlik çalışması 12-22 yaş grubunda yatılı, yatı­sız toplam 960 normal genç üzerinde yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubu Ergenlik Dönemi evrelerine göre yaş gruplarına ayrılmıştır, örneklem grubu yaş, cinsiyet ve sosyokültürel düzey değişkenleri göz önünde bulundurularak oluşturulmuştur. Psikomet-rik özellikleri sınanan ÇBASD ölçeğinin Türkçe for­munun ÇBSDÖ'nün sosyal desteği geçerli ve gü­venilir olarak ölçen bir araç olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ergenlik evrelerine göre oluşturulmuş yaş grupları arasında algılanan sosyal destek açısından İstatis­tiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. 15-17 yaş grubu, 12-14 ve 18-22 yaş gruplarına göre desteklerinin yetersiz olduğunu algılamaktadır. Ay­rıca sosyokültürel düzeyin algılanan sosyal desteği etkilediği de saptanmıştır. Yaş gruplarına göre des­teğin en çok hangi kaynaktan algılandığı araştırıl­mıştır. 12-14 ve 18-22 yaşları en fazla desteği aile­den, 15-17 yaş grubu ise diğer önemli kişiden algılamaktadır. Cinsiyete göre bakıldığında, kızlar ve erkekler arasında destek kaynakları açısından fark bulunmamıştır.
Yatılı ve yatılı olmayan grup, ÇASDÖ'nün alt Öl­çekleri açısından karşılaştırılmış, yalnızca aile alt ölçeğinde istatistik olarak anlamlı fark saptanmıştır.

This study aimed to investigate the psychometric properties of Turkish version of Multi­dimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Also the perception of adolescents with repect to the source of social support were examined. The study sample consisted of 47 2 boys and 486 girls a total of 960 high school and college students. Age of the sample were between 12 and 22 [year]s of age and grouped as 12-14, 15-17,18-22 [year]s. Also sociocultural levels of the subjects were grouped as lower, middle and upper. The Turkish version of the MSPSS were found to be a reliable and valid instrument.
The total score of MSPSS were significantly dif­ferent between the age groups and socio-cultural levels. Adolescents in 12-14 and 18-22 age ranges perceived higher support from their family than friends and significant others the boarding stu­dents significantly perceived support from their families than subjects living with their families.
