Üniversite yılları, hızlı büyüme, gelişme ve değişmelerin yaşandığı bir dönemdir. Bu konuda geliştirilen problem tarama ölçeğinin amacı, öğrencilerin problemlerini belirlemektir. Problemler yedi alt alanda (Okul, Gelecek, Aile, Sosyal, Kişisel, Ders çalışma- Başarısızlık ve Sağlık) toplanmıştır. Ölçek maddeleri çok önemli, önemli ve önemsiz olmak üzere üçlü bir derecelendirme ile ölçülmüştür. Ölçek, 113 kız, 141 erkek olmak üzere 254 öğrenciye verilmiştir. Sonuçlar madde analizi yapılarak alt-üst gruplar testi ile seçilmiştir. Böylece 91 maddelik bir ölçek oluşmuştur. Alt alanların iç tutarlılıkları Cronbach alfa ile hesaplanmıştır.

Years in University are the period of a rapid growth, development and changes. Keeping this fact in mind, a problem q sort has been developed in order to diagnoze the problems of students. In this study, problems have been divided into 7 subscales (school,future,family, social, personal, studying lesson-failure, and health). The items of this scale have been measured with a three point scale which consits of "very important, important and not important". This scale has been conducted on 131 girls, 141 boys, totaling 254 students. Through a t test, upper groups and lower grou.ps have been identified, and the results have been obtained through an item analysis method. The internal consisteney of subscales has been counted through Cronbach Alpha.
