Bu makalede, ülkemizde denetim odağı İle ilgili araştırmalann artması göz önüne alınarak, yeni çalışmalar için yönlendirici bir işlev taşıyabileceği düşüncesi ile denetim odağı ölçekleri üzerindeki tartışmaların bir değerlendirmesi yapılarak yeni eğilim ve gelişmeler ile önerilere yer verilmiştir.

Though the number of the scales developed for the measurement of LOC has been increasing, the controversy about the nature and characteristics of the scales continues. The related data reveal that the validity and reliability of the scales developed for measuring this personality dimension conceptualized by Rotter are rather low; and the source of this limitation of the scales lies in the definition of the concept of LOC. This situation has led the researchers to develop new scales on the bases of reanalyzing the concept through specification and refinement of their sub-dimensions. This article basically aims at an assessment of these discussions, developments, trends on the subject and their implications for studies in future.
