Araştırmanın amacı üniversite öğrencilerinin iyilik halinin “Maneviyat” ve “Serbest Zaman” boyutlarını etkileyen değişkenleri saptamaktır. Araştırmanın kapsamını Başkent ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi’nden 936 (623 kız, 313 erkek) üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak İyilik Hali Ölçeği, Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin Analizinde Çok Değişkenli Varyans Analizi (MANOVA) uygulanmıştır. Farkların kaynağına Tukey Testi ile bakılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları, cinsiyet değişkeni ve iyilik halinin “Serbest Zaman” boyutu arasında anlamlı fark olduğunu göstermiştir. Bulgular ayrıca, fiziksel egzersiz yapma sıklığı, alkol kullanma sıklığı, dindarlık düzeyi ve iyilik halinin “Maneviyat” ve “Serbest Zaman” boyutları arasında anlamlı fark olduğunu göstermiştir. Gelecekle ilgili düşünceler değişkeni ve iyilik halinin “Maneviyat” boyutu arasında da anlamlı fark saptanmıştır.

The aim of the study was to determine those variables which have an impact on the “Spirituality” and “Leisure” subscales of wellness among university students. The study sample consists of 936 (623 female, 313 male) students from Baskent and Hacettepe University. The “Wellness Evaluation of Lifestyle Scale”, the “Perceived Social Support Scale”, and “Personal Information Form” were used for data collection. The Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) was used in the analysis of the data. The sources of the differences were further analyzed with the Tukey Test. The results of the study indicated statistically significant differences between male and female students with regards to “Leisure” subscale score. Results also indicated a significant difference between the frequency of physical exercise, the frequency of alcohol consumption, the level of religiosity and, “Spirituality” and “Leisure” subscale scores of students. Additionally, there were significant differences in “Spirituality” subscale with regards to opinions about future.
