Bu araştırmanın amacı iş doyumu ile depresyon, benlik saygısı, denetim odağı algısı arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemektir. Ayrıca iş doyumu ile yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim ve bireyin aldığı eğitim ile ilgili bir işte çalışıp çalışmıyor olması arasındaki ilişkileri belirlemek de çalışmanın diğer bir amacıdır. Bu amaçlara ulaşmak için farklı mesleklerde çalışan 870 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmada Mesleki Doyum Ölçeği, Beck Depresyon Envanteri, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Rotter Denetim odağı Algısı Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, eğitimi ile uyumlu işlerde çalışanların iş doyumlarının çalışmayanlara göre daha yüksek olduğu gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca eğitim düzeyi, cinsiyet, denetim odağı, benlik saygısı ve depresyon iş doyumunu yordayan değişkenler olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Tüm bu değişkenler toplam varyansın % 19’unu açıklamaktadır.

The aim of this study is to determine the relations between job satisfaction and depression, self-esteem, locus of control. Another aim of this study is to determine whether job satisfaction differs according to the accordance between education field and current job. For this reason, 870 people who work in different jobs are reached. In this study, Job Satisfaction Sale, Beck Depression Inventory, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Rotter’s Locus of Control Scale and a personal information form are used. The analysis showed that people who work in jobs related to their educations have higher job satisfaction in comparison with those who don’t; and education, sex, locus of control, self-esteem and depression are the predictors of job satisfaction. These variables explain 19 % of the total variance.
