Bu yazıda çocuk ve ergenlerde görülen travma sonrası stres bozukluğu (TSSB)'nun gözden geçirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çocuk ve ergenlerin travmayı algılamaları ve travmaya yanıt vermelerinde yetişkinlere göre farklılıklar vardır. Çocuklarda TSSB tanısını koymada DSM-IV tanı ölçütleri kullanılmakta ise de TSSB tanısı için gelişimsel döneme özgü tanı ölçütlerinin geliştirilmesi gerektiğini ileri sürmektedir. TSSB ile komorbid bozuklukların ve bazı belirtilerin görülmesi sıktır. Tüm ölçütler karşılanmasa da işlevsellikte bozulmanın olduğu durumlarda tedavi düşünülmelidir.

It is aimed to review posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in this article. There are differences in the perception of trauma or response to the trauma of children and adolescent when compared with adults. Although DSM-IV criteria are used to make the diagnosis of PTSD, it is suggested that developmentally specific new criteria are needed. Partial symptomatology and comorbidity are common. Treatment should be considered in the situation of the daily life disfunctioning even when full criteria are not met.
