Yapay bozukluk, hasta rolünü benimseme motivasyonuyla fiziksel veya psikolojik belirti yâhut bulguların amaçlı olarak ortaya çıkartılması veya bu tür belirti yâhut bulgular varmış gibi davranılma-sıdır. Fiziksel belirti ve bulguların veya psikolojik belirti ve bulguların yâhut hem fiziksel hem psikolojik belirti ve bulguların taklidi biçiminde ortaya çıkabilir. Yapay bozukluk, elde edilebilir dışsal bir amaç (ekonomik kazanç, yasal sorumluluklardan uzaklaşma gibi) olmamasıyla temaruzdan ayrılır. Psikolojik belirti ve bulguları olan yapay bozukluğun kesin tanı ve tedavisi yoktur, progno-zu kötüdür. Bu vak'ada 7 yıllık hastalık öyküsü, 4 hastane yatışı olan, birçok psikiyatrik tanı konulan, etkin doz ve sürede antidepresan, antiepileptik, antipsikotik tedavilerine ve elektrokonvülsif tedaviye cevapsız olan 28 yaşındaki kadın hasta literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur.

Factitious disorder is defined as production of physical and/or psychological symptoms intentionally with the aim of assuming the patient role. It is presented as consciously simulation of physical signs and symptoms, or psychological signs and symptoms or both. Factitious disorder is differentiated from malingering as there is no purposeful pursuit of pragmatic gain (obtaining financial gain, evading criminal prosecution etc.). There are no specific diagnostic criteria or specific treatment modality for factitious disorder with predominantly psychiatric signs and symptoms and it has poor prognosis. In this case, we present a 28 [year] old female patient who has symptoms for 7 [year]s, has been diagnosed with many psychiatric illnesses, has given no response to antidepressant, antiepileptic, antipsychotic drug treatment given in adequate time and dosage, had no response to electroconvulsive therapy, had been hospitalized for 4 times and we discussed the case in the light of the literature.
