Lityum kullanımına bağlı psödotümör serebri (PS) gelişmesi oldukça nadir bir durum olup literatürde olgu sunumları şeklinde yer almaktadır. PS, intrakraniyal yer kaplayıcı bir lezyon, meningeal enflamasyon veya venöz tıkanıklık gibi yapısal bir lezyonun yokluğunda kafa içi basıncının artması olarak tanımlanır. Etiyolojisi ve patagonezi tam olarak aydınlatılamamıştır. Bu yazıda tedavisine lityum eklenmesi sonrası PS tablosu gelişen bipolar bozukluğu olan 39 yaşında bir erkek hasta sunulmaktadır. Lityum kullanımının 10. gününde baş ağrısı, bulantı, kusma ve çift görme yakınmaları başlayan hastanın muayene ve tetkikleri sonucunda tanısı PS olarak değerlendirilmiştir. PS oluşumuna neden olabilecek lityum dışında başka bir neden bulunamamıştır. Lityumun kesilmesinden sonra hastanın tüm klinik belirtilerinin kaybolması da tanıyı desteklemiştir. Olgu sunumu ile birlikte ender olarak görülen ve literatürde yer alan ?lityuma bağlı PS? olguları da gözden geçirilmiştir.

Progress of pseudotumor cerebri (PC) due to use of lithium is observed very rarely and it is included in the literature as case reports. PC is defined as increase of intracranial pressure in the absence of a structural lesion such as intracranial space occupying lesion, meningeal inflammation or venous congestion. Its etiology and pathogenesis is not illuminated. In this paper 39 [year]s old, bipolar disorder diagnosed male patient with developing PC after the addition of lithium to his treatment is presented. The patient's complaints of headache, nausea, vomiting and double vision started at 10th day of usage of lithium and as a result of all the examinations of the patient PC were diagnosed. No reason can be detected that may cause the formation of the PC other than lithium. Disappearance of all clinical symptoms of the patient after cessation of lithium also supported the diagnosis. ?PC related to lithium? cases in the literature, which are observed rarely with the case reports, are also reviewed.
