2000'li yıllar giderek kültürün ekonomik ve politik bileşenlerinin etkisinin arttığı ve daha yoğun hissedildiği yeni bir gerçeklik içermektedir. Tüm dünya için her toplumda farklı ruhsal hastalık görünümlerinin varlığı öngörülür hale gelmiştir. Bu durum ruhsal bozuklukların ortaya çıkması ve klinik görünümleri üzerinde etkisi her geçen gün daha fazla kanıtlanan sosyekonomik ve sınıfsal risk etkenlerinin fark edilmesini gerektirir. Bu yazı koruyucu ruh sağlığında sosyoekonomik ve kültürel etkenlerin rolü ile ilgili bir tartışma başlatmayı amaçlamaktadır.

Two thousands harbor a new reality in which the impact of the economic and political components has increased and is felt more strongly. Throughout the world, various presentations of mental health problems have been predicted for different cultures. This situation requires an awareness of the risk factors associated with the socioeconomic level and social-class on the emergence and presentation of mental disorders for which the accumulation of evidence has been increasing. The aim of this paper is to start a discussion about the role of socioeconomic and cultural factors in preventive mental health.
