Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, Çocuklar İçin Boşanmaya Uyum Envanteri (ÇBUE) Türkçe formunun 9-
12 yaş aralığındaki anne-babası boşanmış çocuklarda kullanılmak üzere geçerlik ve güvenirliğini sınamaktır.
Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemi Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (KKTC)'nde yaşayan anne ve
babası resmi olarak boşanmış, 9-12 yaş grubundaki 146 çocuktan oluşmaktadır. Envanterin Türkçe formunun
faktör yapısı, ölçüt geçerliği, test tekrar test güvenirliği, iç tutarlığı çeşitli istatistiksel analizlerle
değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Elde edilen sonuçlar, ÇBUE'nin anne- babası boşanmış çocuklarda boşanmaya
uyumu ölçebilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğunu göstermektedir. Tartışma: Bu araştırmanın
bulguları ÇBUE'nin anne ve babası boşanan çocuklardaki risk faktörlerinin ve boşanmaya uyumun
belirlenmesi için geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bu envanterin kullanımı hem
boşanmış aile çocuklarıyla yapılacak araştırmalara hem de bu alandaki danışmanlık programlarına yön
vermesi açısından değer taşımaktadır. Ayrıca envanter, ailelere, danışmanlara, öğretmenlere ve bu konuda
çalışan profesyonellere stresli bir dönem olan boşanma sürecinde çocuğun gereksinimlerini anlayabilmede
bilgi sağlayıcı bir araç olabilecektir.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to examine the validity and reliability of applying Turkish version
of Divorce Adjustment Inventory for Children on a sample of children aged between 9 and 12 and
whose parents are divorced. Method: The sample of the study is composed of 146 children, aged 9-12,
residing in the Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Parents of all these children are legally divorced.
Factorial structure, criterion-related validity, test retest reliability and cronbach alpha internal consistency
of the Turkish version of the inventory were assessed by various statistical analyses. Results: The
results indicate that Divorce Adjustment Inventory for Children is a valid and reliable instrument to
measure the degree of adjustment of children whose parents are divorced. Discussion: The results of
the study demonstrate that Divorce Adjustment Inventory for Children is a reliable instrument for identifying
risk factors as well as measuring children's degree of adjustment to divorce of their parents.
Advantage of using Divorce Adjustment Inventory for Children is significant in terms of shedding light
not only to future research on the children with divorced families but also for programs providing counselling
in this field. Besides, the scale can serve as a helpful instrument for families, counsellors, teachers
and professionals in order to better understand the needs of children during stressful divorce period.
