Çocuğun adli psikiyatrik değerlendirilmesinde genellikle, ceza sorumluluğunun değerlendirilmesi, cinsel veya fiziksel travma sonucu ruhsal rahatsızlığın oluşup oluşmadığı, mağdurun ruhsal bakımdan kendisini savunup savunamayacağı, çocuk tanıklığının güvenilirliği, velayet tayini gibi konularda savcı veya hakim tarafından bilirkişilik talep edilmektedir. Bu yazıda, çocuğun adli psikiyatrik değerlendirmesinin hukuki ve tıbbi yönleri ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır.

Forensic psychiatric evaluation of the child is usually related to the evaluation of criminal responsibility, if psychological problems are consisted or not after sexual or physical trauma, if victim defends him/herself or not psychologically, the reliability of child testimony, the determination of custody. The prosecutor or judge asks psychiatric evaluation from child psychiatrist about these issues. In this study, medical and legal sides of expert subjects concerning child forensic psychiatry are evaluated.
