Ağrılı Durumlarda Botulinum Toksini

Kozmetik uygulamalar sırasında kullanılan botulinum toksininin beraberdeki migrene de iyi geldiği gözlemleri üzerine ilk olarak migren ve gerilim tipi baş ağrılarında etkinliği araştırılmış fakat çelişkili sonuçlar nedeniyle net bir sonuca ulaşılamamıştır. Takip eden çalışmalar, botulinum toksinin kronik migren ve kronik günlük baş ağrısında daha güçlü etkinliğini ortaya koymuştur.

Botulinumtoxin in Pain Treatment

After the first observations that botulinum toxin used for cosmetic aims also relieved coexisting migraine, its effectiveness have been studied in migraine and tension-type headache without reaching a clear conclusion because of controversial results. Further studies revealed stronger effectiveness of botulinum toxin in the treatment of chronic migraine and chronic daily headache.
