Bu çalışmada intihar girişimi sonrası değerlendirilen 209 olgunun belirttiği intihar girişimi nedenleri sunulmuştur. Belirtilen intiharlara öncül olaylar belirgin düzeyde kişilerarası sorunlardır. Anababa ve eşle yaşanan sorunlar diğer kişilerle olan sorunlardan anlamlı düzeyde farklıdır. İntihar girişimine öncül olduğu belirtilen anlamlı diğer neden ruhsal sorundur. Girişime presipitan olarak belirtilen diğer kişilerarası sorunlar, para-iş-okul sorunları ve fiziksel hastalık diğerlerinden anlamlı farklılık göstermemiştir.

The presipttant factors in 209 attempted suicide cases were examined in this study. Life events reported as precipitants to suicide attempts were interpersonal problems especially experienced with parents and spouses.
Also results indicated that mental illness was important in suicide attempts. Reported financial, work, school problems and physcical illness didn't show statistically significant results in the group.
