Psikiyatrik görüşme yalnız hastadan bilgi alma süreci olmayıp, aynı zamanda doktor ile hasta arasında bir etkileşimdir. Fakat günlük uygulamalarda bu etkileşim çoğu zaman dikkate alınmaz. Psikoterapinin bakış açısıyla doktor-hasta etkileşimi önemli bir süreçtir. Olumlu doktor-hasta ilişkileri psikoterapötik özellikler taşır. Bu nedenle psikoterapötik yaklaşımların ve tekniklerin her günkü hasta değerlendirmelerine katılmaları; doktor ve hasta ilişkisinin psikoterapötik yaklaşımlardan temel alması gerekmektedir. Bu makalede psikoterapötik görüşmenin amaçları ve günlük uygulamada kullanılabilecek psikoterapötik girişimler tartışılmıştır.

A psychiatric interview is not only a process of obtaining information about the patient, it is also an interaction between doctor and patient. But mostly the importance of this interaction has not been taken into consideration in everyday practice. From the standpoint of psychotherapy, doctor-patient interaction is an important process. Positive doctor-patient relationship has psychotherapeutic properties. Because of that psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques should be incorporated into everyday management of patients and relationship between doctor and patient should be based on psychotherapeutic approaches. In this article, the goals of psychotherapeutic interview and psychotherapeutic interventions which could be used in everday practice has been discussed.
