Gençlik grupları
Bu çalışmada aşağıdaki hususlar üzerinde durulmuştur :
1 ? Gençleri gruplar içine sürükleyen psişik yapının özelliklerini tanıyabilmek için, İstanbul'un çeşitli sokak ve semtlerinde bulunan gençlik gruplarına mensup gençlerle 56 suallik bir skala yardımı ile konuşulmuştur. 2 ? Gençlik dönemindeki gelişmede arkadaşlığın önemi,
3 ? Grup içi arkadaşlık dereceleri,
4 ? Grup içindeki hayat görüşü.
Yaş ortalması 19 olan çeşitli gruplara mensup 136 gencin sosyal, ekonomik, ailevî durumları gözden geçirilmiştir.
Grup içinde bulunan gençlerin ortak psişik özellikleri şöyledir: a) Hayatın sorumluluğundan kaçmak,
b) Bütün otorite figürlerinden huzursuzluk ve onlara tepki,
c) Fizik güce aşırı hayranlık,
d) Seksüel hayata aşırı düşkünlük,
e) Geniş ve gerçek dışı hayal gücü,
f) Pozitif bir amaç olmaması,
g) Kendine güvensizlik ve yetersizlik.
Grup içine giren gençler orada aşağıda sıralanan imkanları bulmaktadırlar.
a) Gerçek ortamdan kaçmak,
b) Aşırı özgürlük ve sorumsuzluk,
c) Her türlü haz ve eğlence,
d) Yeni ve değişik heyecanların peşinden koşmak,
e) Karşı cinsle kolay ilişki kurmak,
Grupların isimleri ve sembolleri, grup içinde bulunan gençlerin iyi idendifikasyon yapmamış, çevreden kaçmış, yabancılaşmış olduğunu göstermektedir.
Grup içinde samimi arkadaşlıktan passif grup aşinalığına kadar değişik derecelerde arkadaşlık ilişkileri vardır.
Hayat anlayışları Asi gençlikten Hippiliğe kadar değişen geniş bir spektrum içinde yer almaktadır.

Youngster Groups
In the present study, the following points are reviewed :
1 ? Interview with members of youngster groups by means of a scale including 56 questions for the purpose of getting information on their psychic constitutions urging them to form into groups in various districts and localities of Istanbul.
2 ? Importance of friendship in the development of adolescents.
3 ? Degrees of friendship in group relations.
4 ? Life concepts of group members.
W have observed 136 group members whose average age is. 19. Taking into consideration their social, economic and familial situations.
The common psychic constitution of the group members are :
a) Flight from responsibilities of life.
b) Unrest and reaction to all figures of authority.
c) Admiration of physical power.
d) Overindulgence in sexual life.
e) Immense and irreal imagination f) Absence of any positive goals.
g) Self - insecurity and self - Insufficiency.
The groups offer to their members the following possibilities :
a) Escape from the real situation.
b) Autonomy and irresponsibility.
c) Pleasure a.nd enjoyment.
d) Search for new and diverse forms of emotion.
e) Easy relations with the oppsite sex.
The names and symbols of groups indicate that the members are unidentified, withdrawn from their environment and alienated. In the groups there may ve various forms of friendship ranging from close friendship to passive group acquaintances. Their life concepts may vary in a large spectrum from that of Teddy - boys to that of Hippies.
