Asperger bozukluğunun (AB) bilişsel ve davranışsal fenotipinin sözel olmayan öğrenme güçlüğü (SOÖG) ile uyumlu olduğu bildirilmektedir. Bu yazıda AB tanısı konan iki olgunun sunulması ve SOÖG modeli çerçevesinde tartışılması amaçlanmıştır. Konuyla ilgili yayınlar medline'den taranmış, DSM-IV ölçütlerine göre tanı konulan iki olgu son yazın bilgileri ışığında tartışılmıştır. AB tanısı alan iki olguda sosyal ilişki kurma ve sürdürmede yetersizlik, sezgisel, bütünleyici, görsel-algısal ve görsel-motor becerilerinde sorunların yanı sıra sözel/ezber becerilerinin güçlü olduğu saptanmıştır. AB olgularının SOÖG profiliyle uyumlu yönleri olmakla birlikte, AB için önerilen modellerin sınanması ve bozukluğun nörobilişsel açıdan anlaşılması için nöropsikolojik test bataryalarıyla daha geniş örneklemlerde yürütülecek çalışmalara gerek vardır.

It is reported that there is a considerable overlap between cognitive and behavioral fenotypes of disorder (AD) and nonverbal learning disabilities (NLD). The aim of this article is to present two cases of AD and discuss these cases in the perspective of NLD profile. The related articles were obtained from medline. The cases who were diagnosed with DSM-IV are going to be discussed in the context of the recent literature. The cases had problems not only in their social interactions and nonverbal communication skills, but also in their intuitive, integrative, visual perceptual and visual motor skills. Although these findings of the two cases of AD are similar with several aspects of NLD, examination of suggested models for AD and exploring of its neurocognitive profile with neuropsychological batteries in larger samples are needed.
