İntihar davranışında tedavi, görüşmede ana ilkeler, tutumlar ve tedavi yöntemleri çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır. Tedavide psikoterapiler, bilişsel davranışçı yaklaşımlar ve farmakolojik tedaviler ayrı ayrı gözden geçirilmiştir. Hastanın içinde bulunduğu durum bireysel özellikleri ve ruhsal sorunları dikkatle değerlendirilerek kişiye uygun tedavi planının yapılması önerilmiştir.

The treatment of suicidal behavior is examined within a framework of basic interview principles, attitudes and treatment methods. Psychotherapies, cognitive behavioral approaches and pharmacotherapies vis-à-vis the treatment are taken into consideration separately, each of them by their own account. An appropriate personal treatment plan is suggested in line with a thorough evaluation of the patients position during the treatment, his personal characteristics and his psychiatric problems.
