8 yaşında ve çocuk şizofreninin bütün belirtilerim gösteren bu çocukda hastalığın etyolojisi kanımızca genetik ve sosyal herediteye bağlı olabilir. Ailenin affektif ortamı şizofrenik aile için ileri sürülen tipe çok uygundur. Klasiklerde oronostiğin ümitsiz yazıldığı bu vak'ada medikal, psikoterapi ve eğitsel bütün güçler belli bir amaca yeniden affektif ve alışkanlıklar kuracak bir amaca yöneltilmiştir. Otizmanın kırılması terapiste transferansın aileye aktarılması, çocuğu asosyal kılan manierizma ve stereotipilerin yatıştırılması, agresyonun grup oyun, öğrenime dökülmesi tedavinin dönemleridir. Böylece bu vak'ada belli bir selah ve kooperasyon II ay içinde sağlanmıştır. Oldukça örnek olan bu vak'amız çocuk şizofrenisinde yılları kapsıvacak bir çabayı önceden bilerek ona göre davranma gereğini de göstermektedir. Bunun aileye de iyice anlatmak kooperasyon için şarttır.

Genetic and environmental heredity factors were apparent in the family. Another sibling of the same father but of a different mother was also schizophrenic. Furthermore the father was extremely rigid and the mother showed a symbiotic dependency towards the child.
The treatment consisted of psychopharmacolosfa aerents (Haloperidol and Thioridazine) and two sessions of psychotherapy per week. Furthermore the patient was subjected to special education. At the end of eleven [month]s of therapy it was observed that autism had turned into agression and that the child positively took part in group activitties.
