Bu çalışma; çocukların akran istismarına uğrama
durumlarını ve benlik saygısı düzeylerini incelemek,
akran istismarı ve benlik saygısı ilişkisini
ortaya koymak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya
Ankara il merkezinde yaşayan toplam yüz bir çocuk
dahil edilmiştir. Araştırmada Genel Bilgi Formu,
Akran Zorbalığını Belirleme Ölçeği ve Ergenler
İçin Benlik Saygısı Profili kullanılmıştır. Verilerin
değerlendirilmesinde Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi ve
Korelasyon Katsayısı Önemlilik Testi kullanılmıştır.
Araştırma sonucunda; çocukların yaşının hem
akran istismarı, hem de benlik saygısı puanlarında,
çocukların cinsiyetlerinin ise benlik saygısı puanlarında
anlamlı bir farklılığa neden olduğu görülmüştür.
Bununla birlikte akran istismarı ve benlik saygısı
arasında negatif anlamlı bir korelasyon olduğu
bulunmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlar
doğrultusunda öneriler getirilmiştir.

The aim of this study was to investigate the peer
bullying and self-respect of children, and
determine whether relation was found between
self respect and peer bullying. The sample was
selected as a total of one hundred and one
children lived in Ankara. The data were collected
via the General Information Questionnaire, Peer
Bullying Scala and Self-Perception Profile for
Adolescents. One Way Variance Analysis and
Correlations Coefficient Significant Test were
used as statistical methods. The findings of this
study indicate that self-respect levels vary
depending on the age and gender of the child,
peer bullying levels vary depending on the age of
the child. And also it determined that negative
correlation between self-respect and peer
bullying. Proposals for solution have beensuggested in accordance with the results
obtained in the study.
