Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, dikkati ölçen nöropsikolojik testler arası ndaki ilişkileri incelemek, böylece dikkat sürecinin yapısı konusunda bilgi edinmektir. Yöntemler: Çalışmanın örneklemini Hacettepe Üniversitesi 2. ve 3. sı- nıfa devam etmekte olan sağlıklı, genç yetişkin 83 (45 kadın, 38 erkek) gönüllü oluşturmuştur. Nöropsikolojik dikkat ölçümleri, ülkemiz için standardizasyonu yapılmış olan testler kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. İlgili yazın doğrultusunda, Stroop Testi TBAG Formu odaklanmış dikkati, İşaretleme Testi (İT) sürdürülen dikkati ölçmede kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca “Dikkat / Konsantrasyon”u ölçtüğü belirtilen Wechsler Bellek Ölçeği-Geliştirilmiş Formu (WMS-R) alt testleri kullanılmıştır. Test puanlarından ortaya çıkan faktör yapısı Temel Bileşenler Analizi ile incelenmiş; söz konusu dikkat testlerinin ilişkili olduğu yolundaki araştırma hipotezi Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Bulgular: Analiz sonuçları bu üç dikkat türünün ayrı ayrı var olduğuna işaret etmiştir. Odaklanmış dikkat ve sürdürülen dikkatin birbiriyle ilişkili olduğu bulunmuş, sayı dizileri görevine ilişkin puanın ise, bozucu etki yoluyla karmaşık dikkati ölçen Stroop Testi puanı (Bölüm 5) ile ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Sonuçlar: Bu bulgular psikoloji bilimi kapsamında yer alan dikkat kuramları ve çağdaş nörobilişsel kuramlar bağlamında tartışılmıştır. Bulguların, aynı zamanda da testlerin geçerliğine ışık tutmakta olduğuna dikkat çekilmiştir.

Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the relation
between tests of attention and to obtain information on the structure
of this process.
Methods: The sample consisted of 83 (45 women, 38 men) healthy,
young adult volunteers. Different types of attention were measured
using those neuropsychological tests that had previously been
standardized to the Turkish culture. Stroop Test TBAG Version was
used for measuring focused attention, and the Cancellation Test (CT)
was used for sustained attention. The study also used the subtests of
Wechsler Memory Scale-Revised (WMS-R) that measure “Attention /
Concentration”. Principal Component Analysis was used for
describing the factor structure of the scores that were derived from the
three neuropsychological tests. The hypothesis claiming that tests of
attention are related to each other was tested using Structural
Equation Modeling.
Results: Analyses provided evidence that there are three different
types of attention. Focused attention and sustained attention were
found to be related to each other. The scores on the digit span tasks
were related to STP5, the Stroop Test score which measures complex
attention via interference.
Conclusions: These findings were discussed within the context of the
theories of attention in psychology and the contemporary theories of
neurocognition. Findings also provided information on the validity of
the utilized tests of attention.
