Klinefelter sendromu (47, XXY), birçok fiziksel ve nöropsikiyatrik anormallikler ile kendini gösteren,
ilave bir X kromozomunun bulunduğu genetik bir bozukluktur. Algılama becerisi, sosyal mesajları
anlama, sosyal mesajlar verebilme, dil ve dikkat gibi genel bilişsel becerilerdeki yetersizlik gibi artmış
otistik özellikler gözlenebilmektedir. YGB ile ilgili genetik çalışmalar ve YGB deki erkek cinsiyet
baskınlığının X kromozomu üzerindeki genlerin etyolojide etkili olabileceğini düşündürmektedir. Bu
olgu sunumunda, konuşmasının yaşına göre geri olması, yönergelere uymaması, akranları ile ilişki
kurma ve sürdürme becerisinin düşük olması nedeni ile ailesi tarafından getirilen 4 yaş 6 aylık bir
olgunun eş zamanlı Klinefelter sendromu ve YGB tanı alma süreci sunulmuştur. Amacımız hem bu
sendromda sık gözlenen otistik belirtileri gözden geçirmek hem de x kromozom anomalilerinin otistik
bulgular üzerine etyolojik önemini vurgulamaktır. Bu makalede Klinefelter sendromu ile otizm birlikteliği
olan bir olgu sunulmuş ve ilave X kromozomunun otizm etyolojisindeki rolü tartışılmıştır.

Klinefelter's syndrome (47, XXY), a genetical disorder characterized by the presence of an additional
X chromosome, neuropsychiatric symptoms are often seen beside of typical physical features.
Difficulties in social interactions (i.e., the ability to perceive, understand and express social signals,
[language] and attention) and autism, has been reported for this population. The genetic studies related
to pervasive developmental disorder (PDD) and the known predominance of male gender in PDD
make us consider that genes on the X chromosome may have a role in the etiology of PDD. In this case
report, diagnostic process of a 4 [year]s and 6 [month]s old Klinefelter's syndrome and PDD who had been
admitted to our psychiatry unit because of speech delay, insufficiency to obey the instructions, inability
to make and sustain friendship with his companions was explained. The aim of this case report
was both to review the common autistic findings and to emphasize the importance of etiologic importance
of X chromosome abnormalities on autistic findings.
