Children's drawings have a special value in clinical evaluation and offer a great help for understanding of their inner world. One of the most widely used approaches in clinical practice is the Machover's "Draw a Person Test", aiming the evaluation of the self image, personality characteristics and emotional state. To examine the child's perception of interactions in the family and parental characteristics, "Draw a Family Test" is a very fertile clinical tool. But the clinician should be aware of the limitations of the pure results and should take into consideration to evaluate the test results with the children and the parents interactively.
