The subject of this paper is the Rorschach findings of a patient diagnosed by his psychiatrist as an hysteric and also a gender identitiy disordered suffering from conversions. In the beginning, with the patient a detailed psychoanalytical interview was made, in which the beginning of his illness and the reasons for coming to a psychiatric unit was discussed. After the interview the Rorschach Test and T.A.T was conducted. While the patient had no difficulties in talking about his sufferings during the interview, he seemed very reluctant to give information during the tests. The Rorschach findings are discussed according to the French School of Rorschach, inhibition and some difficulties in forming an identity is observed. Although repression is expected as a usuall defense mechanism of an hysteric, the patient seemed not to be in use of it.
