This paper aims to evaluate gastrointestinal disorders using the Rorschach and TAT. It involves the test findings of a patient with persistent diarrhea who was diagnosed by the psychiatrist as having a psychosomatic disorder. At the begin¬ning, a psychoanalytical interview was carried out with the patient where all the details about her illness were gathered. Then, the Rorschach Test and TAT were administered. In the study, the Rorschach findings are discussed according to French School and these findings are found to support the existence of psychosomatic characteristics. The limited number of responses, the lack of exp¬ressions of affect, the difficulty in symbolization, the intensity of representations and describing features, the existence of somatic responses that were not related to any affect and were free from drives, the intensity of operational thinking and the ineffectiveness of the fantasmatic world and the preconscious are considered as important characteristics that are found in psychosomatic disorders. The infantile organization, the monotonous [language] with simple but detailed, mechanic expressions and increased use of repressions in order to control were the most attractive properties of this psychosomatic patient.
