Bu çalışmada a) Okulöncesi Davranış Ölçeği (ODÖ)nin Türkiye'deki anaokulu çocuklarına uygulanabilirliği b) Duygusal ve davranışsal sorunların görülme sıklığı ve c) Çocuğun yaşı, cinsiyeti, anaokulu tipi, öğretmenlerin deneyim ve eğitim düzeyi, öğretmenlerin çocukları tanıma süresi, sınıf büyüklüğü değişkenleri ile duygusal sorunlar ve davranışlar arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığı araştırılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan 4-6 yaşlarındaki 521 çocuktan 235'i kız (%45), 285'i (%55) erkektir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre a) ODÖ'nün Türk çocuklarına uygulanabileceği, b) Duygusal davranışsal sorunların görülme sıklığının %29.2 olduğu ve c) Öğretmenin eğitim düzeyi, çocuğu tanıma süresi ve çocuğun gittiği anaokulu tipi-cinsiyet değişkenlerinin duygusal-davranışsal sorunların görülme sıklığı arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.

This study examined a)The appivcability of the Preschool Behavior Check-List (PBCL) to Turkish nursery children, b) The prevalance rate of emotional and behavioral problems and c) The variables were as follows: type of nursery children attended. The experince and education level of the teachers, the lenghtsof time that teachers had known the children, the class size, age and sex of children. 521 children, aged 4-6 [year]s old paricipated in the study. It si concluded that a) the PBCL could be used with Turkish nursery children, b) the prevalance rate of emotional-behavioral problems was shown to be 29.2% and c) the education level of the taecher, the lenght of time that teachers had known the children and the sex of the child in relation to the nursery type, s/he attends were variables that may affect the prevalance rate
