Yetiştirme Yurdunda Kalan Gençlerdeki Ruhsal Belirtiler

Araştırma, yetiştirme yurdunda kalan ve ailesinin yanında yaşayan gençlerin ruhsal durumlarını incelemek amacıyla planlanmış olup, Aydın ve Denizli Yetiştirme Yurtlarında kalan 14-17 yaş grubundaki 122 genç ile, ailesiyle birlikte yaşayan 122 genç olmak üzere 244 genç üzerinde yürütülmüştür.
Araştırmada gençlerin ruhsal durumlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla " Ruhsal Belirti Tarama Envanteri (SCL-90-R)" kullanılmıştır.
Yapılan analizler sonucunda, Global Belirti Endeksi (GSI) ve Pozitif Belirti Endeksi (PSDI) genel endekslerinde yetiştirme yurdunda kalan gençlerin ortalamaların ailesinin yanında yaşayan gençlerden anlamlı derecede daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.
Global Belirti Endeksi (GSI) ve Pozitif Belirti Endeksi (PSDI) genel endekslerinde kızların ortalamalarının erkeklerden daha yüksek olduğu ve cinsiyetler arası farklılığın istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu bulunmuştur. Ayrıca, Global Belirti Endeksi (GSI) ve Pozitif Belirti Endeksi (PSDI) genel endekslerinde yaş grupları arasındaki farklılıkların istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu ve 14 yaş grubundaki gençlerin ortalamalarının diğer yaş gruplarındakinden daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.
The Psychological Symptoms of the Adolescents Living in Orphanages
This study was conducted to find out the psychological status of the youngesters living either with families or in orphanages.
Symptom Check-List Revised (SCL-90-R) was used to determine the psychological status of the adolescents. This research was carried out on 214 youngesters 14-17 [year]s old, 122 of whom live in Aydin and Denizli orphaneges and 122 of whom live with their families.
Avarage scores of Global Symptom Index (GSI) and Positive Symptom Distress Index (PSDI) general indexes were found to be significantly lower for the adolescents living with their families than the ones staying in orphanages.
Besides the avarage value of Global Symptom Index (GSI) and Positive Symptom Total (PST) general index for the girls was higher than the boys and the difference between the sexes were statistically significant.
Moreover, the difference among the various age groups in Global Symptom Index (GSI) and Positive Symptom Total (PST) general indexes are statistically significant and the avarage values for the 14 [year] old group was found to be higher than the other age groups.
