Erişkinlerde Dikkat Eksikliği ve Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu (DEHB): Sınıflandırma, Tanı ve Tedavide Yenilikler

Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu (DEHB) çocukluk çağında yaygın olarak görülen bir bozukluktur. DEHB tanılı çocuklarla yapılan uzun süreli izlem çalışmaları DEHB'nin sadece çocukluk çağında görülen bir bozukluk olmayıp ergenlik ve erişkinlikte de görülebileceğini ortaya koymuştur. Erişkin DEHB ile ilgili çalışmaların sayısı 1970'li yıllarda başlayarak artış göstemıiş ve bu çalışmaların çoğunda DEHB'nin erişkinlerde sık olarak görülen önemli bir bozukluk olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca erişkin DEHB'lilerde uyarıcı ilaçların etkin olduğunu gösteren çalışmalar da erişkinlerde DEHB'nin görülebileceğini desteklemiştir. Bu yazıda erişkin DEHB'nin etiyolojisi, doğal gidişi, belirtileri ve eşlik eden özellikleri gözden geçirilmiştir.
