Nokturnal enürezis (yatağı ıslatma) hem çocukları, hem de yetişkinleri etkileyen ve sık görülen kalıtımsal tıbbi bir durumdur. Yetişkinlerde nokturnal enürezisin yaygınlığını ortaya koyan az sayıda çalışma vardır. Yetişkinlerdeki yüksek orana karşın, nokturnal enürezisin bu populasyondaki tedavisinin etkinliğini gösteren çalışma sayısı azdır. Bu yazıda nişanlandıktan sonra ikincil enürezis nokturna gelişen ve bilişsel davranışçı yaklaşım ile “imipramin” tedavisine olumlu yanıt veren bir olgu sunmaktayız.

Nocturnal enuresis (bedwetting) is a common inherited medical condition affecting both children and adults. Limited number of studies has attempted to determine the prevalence of nocturnal enuresis in adults. Despite the magnitude of adults with nocturnal enuresis, few studies have assessed the effects of therapy in this population. We report a case that developed secondary enuresis nocturna after getting engaged and later showed significant improvement with combined cognitive behavioral approach and “imipramine” treatment.
