Bu çalışma, üç farklı sosyoekonomik düzeyden gelen ergenlerin ana babalarıyla iletişim düzeylerini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaçla, 129 erkek, 151 kız olmak üzere toplam 280 ergen çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Veriler Ana Baba Ergen İletişimi Ölçeği (ABEİÖ) ile toplanmış, iki yönlü varyans analizi ile istatistiksel olarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, ergenlerin ana babaları ile iletişiminde sosyoekonomik düzey açısından bir fark olmadığını göstermiştir (F==0.84, p> .05). Elde edilen diğer bir bulgu ise, her iki cinsiyetten ergenlerin anneleri ile daha iyi iletişim kurmalarıdır. (F=34.53, p<.50).

This study aims to determine the communication levels of adolescents and their parents from three different socio-economic background. For this purpose, total 280 adolescent (129 males and 151 females) were included in the study. Parent-Adolescent Communications Scale (PACS) was used to collect data. Statistical analysis was made by two-way analysis of variance. Statistical analysis revealed to significant differences between the communication of adolescents and their parents on socio-economic status (F= 0,84 p > .05). Another finding of the study is that both sexes perceived their mothers as being more communicative (F= 34.53 p < .01).
