Bu çalışmada gençlerde kimlik duygusundaki sarsıntıları değerlendirmeye ve kimlik gelişimiyle ilgili sorunlu alanları belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçme aracı geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Yirmisekiz soruluk bir özbildirim ölçeği olarak tasarlanan Kimlik Duygusu Değerlendirme Aracı'nın (KDDA) psikometrik özellikleri üniversite öğrencilerinden oluşan normal bir örneklem üzerinde araştırılmıştır. KDDA skorlarıyla Offer Öz İmgesi Ölçeği ve Rosenberg Özdeğer Duygusu Ölçeği skorları arasında yakın bağıntı bulunması KDDA’nın geçerliliğini destekleyen bir bulgu olarak yorumlanmıştır. Ölçeğin iç tutarlılığını araştırmak amacıyla hesaplanan Cronbach alfa katsayısı ve madde-toplam korelasyonları KDDA’nın güvenirliği yüksek bir ölçek olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Bu sonuçlar KDDA’nın psikometrik özellikleri daha geniş biçimde araştırılması gerekli, umut veren bir ölçek olduğunu düşünmüştür.

The aim of the present study was to develop a measure to assess the disturbances in the sense of identity and to detect problem areas pertaining to the identity development. Psyhcometric properties of the Sense of Identity Assesment Form (SIAF). A 28 item self- report scale was investigated on a nonclinical sample consisting of the university students. The observed intercorrelationship of the SIAF scores with the Offer-Image Questionnaire and Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale scores supported the validity of the newly developed scale. The estimated Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and item-total correlations revealed that the scale has internal reliability. Our results suggested that the SIAF is a promising instrument and more research on its psychometric properties is justified.
