Ergenlerde, ruhsal bozuklukların ilaçla tedavisinde kullanılmakta olan psikotrop ilaçların, gerek etkinliği gerekse güvenilirliği konusunda yapılmış olan çalışmaların sayısı son derece azdır; bilgilerin çoğu erişkinlerle yapılmış olan çalışmalara dayanmaktadır. Bu yazıda ergenlerde depresyon, anksiyete bozuklukları ve şizofreninin farmokolojik tedavisi ile ilgili yapılmış olan çalışmalar ve bu yaş grubunda tedaviye yanıtı etkileyebilecek bazı farmokokinetik etkenler gözden geçirilmiştir.

The number of studies related to the efficacy and reliability of psychotropic drugs which are being used for the treatment of psychiatric disorders of adolescents is very few. Most of the data is derived from the studies related to adults. In this paper, the studies on pharmacological treatment of adolescents depression, anxiety and schizoprenia are reviewed and some of the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic aspects which might affect the response to the treatment in this age group are summarized.
