In this article, contemporary views about time have been reviewed and in 130 cases temporary orientation, in 124 case* estimation of duration have been examined. In choosing these cases no other criteria than verbal cooperation was required. According to our findings, as a result of temporary orientation and estimation of duration experiments, in comparison to normal and psychoneurotic subjects, in psychotics the internal clock was found to be deficient and in existansialist-analytical meaning, this deficiency was interpreted as being in the «eigenwelt». The similarities observed between the internal clock functioning of the normal and psychoneurotic cases were accepted as being due to the fact that XX th. Century is an epoch of psychoneuroses.
The increase in the guessing values of the psychoneurotic cases stimulated with faradic current, seems to support the thought that the «eigenwelt» in new situations, tends to incorporate the tendency of the existence to get closer to the future.
