Çocukluk cinsel istismarı önemli bir yaşam olayıdır ve ciddi ruhsal sorunlara yol açmaktadır. Cinsel
istismar olguları ile farklı hekim grupları karşı karşıya gelmektedir. İstismara uğramış çocuklar tanı
koydurucu fiziksel ve ruhsal belirtilerle gelebileceği gibi, özgül olmayan yakınmalarla da gelebilmektedir.
Çocukla çalışan hekimlerin bilgi alma ve koruma alanında eğitim almaları istismarın erken dönemde
tanınmasını ve sekellerin azalmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu yazıda ilk başvurusundan dört yıl sonra cinsel
istismara uğradığı saptanabilen bir olgu üzerinden tanı güçlükleri tartışılmıştır.

Childhood sexual abuse is an important and complex adverse life experience which leads to serious psychological and psychiatric outcomes. Victims of sexual abuse may come across physicians from different specialties. Abused children admit to physicians either with spec fie and diagnostic physical and mental symptoms or with non-specific symptoms. Education of physicians dealing with the children about evaluation of sexual abuse and about protection from sexual abuse will provide early recognition of abuse and decrease the long term complications. In this paper, diagnostic difficulties of sexual abuse is discussed based on a case in which sexual abuse were determined four [year]s after admission.
