Şizofrenik bozukluğun etyolojisinde biyolojik, psikolojik ve sosyal öğeleri karşılıklı etkileşim içinde birarada ele alan yaklaşım, hem psikotik yaşantının anlaşılmasına, hem de değişik terapötik araç ve yöntemlerin kullanımıyla bütüncül sağaltıma olanak vermektedir. Bu yazıda, şizofrenide çoğul nedenli oluşum modeli çerçevesinde sosyo-psikoterapötik yöntemler gözden geçirilmiştir.

A multicausal model of the etiology of schizophrenic disorders may help to put into perspective the relative roles and interactions of pharmacologic, social and psychotherapeutic interventions. As rewieved in this report, a combined therapeutic approach in tune with the various phases of the psychotic process seems to have a positive influence on the treatment as well as social adjustment of schizophrenic patients
