Lomber disk cerrahisinde antibiyotik profilaksisi

Çalışmada lomber disk herniasyonu tanısıyla ameliyat edilen 217 hasta, ameliyat sonrası gelişen yara yeri enfeksiyonları üzerine profilaktik antibiotik etkisini araştırmak için değerlendirildi. Antibiotik verilmeyen 50 hastadan 1 inde yûzeyel, 1 inde derin enfeksiyon gelişti (% 4). Cephazolin+gentamycin kombinasyonu ile tedavi edilen 40 hastadan birinde yûzeyel, seftriakson verilen 63 hastadan 1 inde yûzeyel ve cefotaxim verilen 64 hastadan ise 1 inde de derin enfeksiyon gelişti. Profilaktik antibiotik verilen toplam 5 hastada enfeksiyon gelişti (% 2.99). Yüzdeler arası bu farkın önem kontrolü t testi ile yapıldığında anlamlı fark bulunamadı (p> 0.05).
Antibiotic prophylaxis in lumbar disc surgery
In this article, we review 217 consecutive operations for lumbar disc herniation to determine the effect of prophylactic antibiotics upon postoperative wound infections. In the 50 cases in which no antibacterial agents were given, one superficial and one deep infection occured (4 %). One superficial in the Group II (cephazoline+gentamicin-treated), one superficial in the Group III (seftriakson-treated) and one deep infection in Group IV (cefotaxime-treated) developed. Total five infections (2.99 %) developed in the 167 occasions when antibiotics were given for prophylaxis -a statistically no significant difference (p> 0.05).
