Bu yazıda farklı cinsel kimlik ve yönelimlerin sosyal yönüne, geçmişte ve günümüzde, kendi kültürümüzdeki ve farklı kültürlerdeki bakış açılarına genel olarak değinilmiştir. Dünyada, içinde psikiyatrinin de bulunduğu tıp alanında ve diğer bilimsel platformlarda eşcinselliğin giderek daha fazla incelenmesiyle konuya daha objektif yaklaşılabileceğini düşünüyoruz. Yazımızda ayrıca psikiyatri, hukuk ve din alanlarında eşcinselliğe bakışı genel olarak inceledik.
