Cinsel Kimlik Bozuklukları ve Homoseksüalitenin Biyolojik Yönü

Cinsel kimlik bozuklukları ve homoseksüalitenin etyolojisiyle ilgili ilk varsayımları klasik psikoanalitik çalışmalarda görüyoruz. Daha sonraki yıllarda psikiyatrik araştırmalarda metodolojinin ilerlemesi, kromozomal araştırmalarının gelişen teknoloji ile mümkün olması ile cinsel kimlik bozuklukları, özel olarak da homoseksüelliğin biyolojik açıklamaları giderek çeşitlendi. Homoseksüelliğin biyolojik yönünün olup olmaması hem psikiyatrinin, hem toplumun bu hassas olguya yaklaşımını etkilemiş ve etkileyecek gibi görünüyor.
