Sosyal Medya Kullanma Tutumu ve Anne Baba Tutumunun Akademik Erteleme Davranışını Yordama Gücü

Bu araştırmanın amacı lise öğrencilerinin sosyal medya kullanma tutumlarının ve algıladıkları anne-baba tutumlarının, akademik erteleme davranışlarını ne ölçüde yordadığını belirlemektir. Araştırmaya Nevşehir’in Ürgüp ilçesinde çeşitli liselerde öğrenim gören 191 kız, 211 erkek toplam 402 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmada Sosyal Medya Tutum Ölçeği, Anne-Baba Tutum Ölçeği, Akademik Erteleme Ölçeği ve Demografik Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde t-testi, tek yönlü ANOVA, Tamhane testi ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular erkek öğrencilerin akademik erteleme davranışlarının, kız öğrencilere göre manidar ölçüde daha yüksek olduğunu, 6 yıldan fazla süredir sosyal medya kullanan öğrencilerin, akademik erteleme davranışlarının, 1-3 yıl arasında sosyal medya kullanan öğrencilere göre manidar ölçüde daha yüksek olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca anne-baba tutumlarından koruyucu-istekçi tutumun ve sosyal medya tutumlarından, paylaşım ihtiyacı ve sosyal izolasyonun akademik erteleme davranışını anlamlı olarak yordadığı görülmüştür.
The Prediction Power of Attitude to Use Social Media and the Parental Attitudes for Academic Procrastination Behavior:
The purpose of this study was to examine how attitude to use social media and the perceived parental attitudes predict academic procrastination behavior of high students. The sample of the study consisted of 402 (191 female, 211 male) high students from various high schools in Urgup. Data collection instruments were Social Media Attitude Scale, Parental Attitudes Scale, Academic Procrastination Scale and Demographic Information Form. T-test, One Way ANOVA, Thame test and Standard multiple regression analysis technique were used in the analysis of the data. The findings showed that academic procrastination behaviors of male students were significantly higher than that of female students, and the academic procrastination behaviors of students who used social media for more than 6 years were significantly higher than students who used social media for 1-3 years. In addition, it was observed that the protective-demanding attitude from the parents' attitudes and the need for sharing and social isolation from the social media attitudes significantly predicted the academic procrastination behavior.
