Bu çalışmanın amacı Stefan Zweig’ın Bir Çöküşün Öyküsü adlı eserindeki baş kahraman Madame de Prie’nin Geştalt Terapi yaklaşıma göre incelenmesidir. Stefan Zweig, Avusturya’nın Viyana şehrinde 28 Kasım 1881 yılında doğmuş, 23 Şubat 1942 yılında Brezilya’da ölmüştür. Psikolojiye olan yakınlığını eserlerinde yansıttığını gördüğümüz Zweig’ın 1910 yılında yazdığı Geschichte Eines Untergangs adlı eseri Bir Çöküşün Öyküsü (2017) adı ile Türkçeye çevrilmiştir. Bir Çöküşün Öyküsü, XV.Louis dönemimde sarayda çok etkin olan Madame de Prie’nin Normandiya’da bir köye sürgün edilmesinden sonra köyde yaşadıklarını anlatmaktadır. Madame de Prie’nin Geştalt terapi yaklaşımına göre incelenmesi Geştalt terapisinde vakaların değerlendirme yöntemlerinden olan Geştalt haritası yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Geştalt haritası ile vakanın incelenmesi temas kurma kapasitesi, terapistin hissettikleri, ihtiyaç döngüsünün tamamlanması, ihtiyaçların karşılanmasını engelleyen faktörler, temas biçimleri, ilişki kurma ritmi ve destek sistemleri açısından yapılmıştır. Bu yaklaşım ile Madam de Prie, sanki psikolojik danışmada danışan koltuğunda oturan bir kişiymiş gibi analiz edilerek süreç Geştalt Terapi kavramları ile açıklanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to examine the protagonist Madame de Prie in Stefan Zweig's The Story of a Collapse according to the Gestalt therapy approach. Stefan Zweig was born on November 28, 1881, in Vienna, Austria, and died on February 23, 1942, in Brazil. Zweig's work, Geschichte Eines Untergangs, written in 1910, which we see reflects his closeness to psychology in his works, has been translated into Turkish under the name of A Collapse Story (2017). The Story of a Collapse tells that Madame de Prie, who was very active in the palace during the reign of Louis XV, lived in the village after she was exiled to a village in Normandy. The examination of Madame de Prie according to the Gestalt therapy approach was made with the Gestalt map method, which is one of the evaluation methods of the cases in Gestalt therapy. Examination of the case with the Gestalt map was made in terms of the capacity to make contact, the therapist's feelings, the completion of the cycle of the need, the factors that prevent the needs from being met, the forms of contact, the rhythm of Establishing a relationship, and the support systems. With this approach, Madame de Prie was analyzed as if she was a person sitting in the client's chair in psychological counseling and the process was explained with Gestalt Therapy concepts.
