Üst-duygular, bireyin birincil duygusuna yönelik gösterdiği duygusal tepkileri içermektedir. Üst-Duygu Ölçeği (Meta-Emotion Scale), üst-duygusal tepki ve deneyimleri değerlendirmek için kullanılan öz bildirime dayalı bir ölçüm aracıdır. Bu çalışmada ölçeğin Türkçe uyarlamasının yapılması ve psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla çalışma, yaşları 18 ile 50 arasında değişen (Ort.= 28.49, S =6.95) 293 gönüllü katılımcı (179 kadın, 114 erkek) ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verisi demografik bilgi formunun yanı sıra, Üst-Duygu Ölçeği, Bilişsel ve Duygusal Bilinçli Farkındalık Ölçeği – Revize Formu (BDBFÖ-R), Kabullenme ve Eylem Ölçeği-II (KEÖ-II), Psikolojik İyi Oluş Ölçeği (PİO) kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre 26 madde içeren Türkçe form, Olumlu Üst-Duygular ve Olumsuz-Üst Duygular olmak üzere 2 boyutlu bir yapı sergilemektedir. Ölçek boyutları iyi düzeyde iç tutarlık özelliğine sahiptir. Geçerlik analizlerinde olumlu ve olumsuz üstduygular ile bilinçli farkındalık, psikolojik esneklik ve psikolojik iyi olma arasında beklenen yönde ilişkiler gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca Olumlu Üst-Duygular boyutunun psikoloji iyi olmayı, esneklik ve farkındalığın ötesinde açıklayabildiği belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçları Üst-Duygu Ölçeği Türkçe formun duygulara yönelik olumlu ve olumsuz duygusal tepkileri değerlendirmek için kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğuna işaret etmektedir.

Meta-emotions include an individual’s emotional reactions towards own emotional experiences. MetaEmotion Scale is a self-report instrument that is used to assess meta-emotional experiences. The current study aims to translate the Meta-Emotion Scale into Turkish and examine its psychometric properties. Based on this aim, 293 volunteered participants (179 females, 114 males) whose ages were ranged between 18 and 50 (M=28.49, SD=6.95) were recruited. For data collection, demographic information form, Meta-Emotion Scale, Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II, Cognitive and Affective Mindfulness Scale-Revised, and Flourishing Scale were administered. The results of the exploratory factor analysis revealed that the Turkish version of the scale was composed of 26 items representing two dimensions, named Positive Meta-Emotions and Negative Meta-Emotions. It was observed that both subscales had high internal consistency coefficients. Validity analyses revealed significant correlations of the subscales with mindfulness, psychological well-being, and psychological flexibility in expected directions. In addition, the results of the hierarchical regression analysis supported the predictive role of positive metaemotions on psychological well-being beyond mindfulness and flexibility. These findings indicated that the Turkish version of Meta-Emotion Scale is a self-report measure to assess positive and negative metaemotions with good psychometric properties.
