Cinsel istismar, çocuğun rızası olsun ya da olmasın çocuğa yapılan herhangi bir cinsel aktiviteyi içermektedir. Bu çalışmada, ebeveynlerin çocuğa yönelik cinsel istismar konusundaki bilgi düzeylerini ve hangi konularda eğitime ihtiyaç duyduklarını belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu araştırma nitel araştırma türlerinden fenomenolojik araştırma türünde gerçekleştirilmiş ve çalışma grubu, bir devlet ilkokuluna devam eden 8-10 yaşlarında çocuğu bulunan, gönüllü 70 ebeveynden oluşturulmuştur. Veri toplama araçları, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile demografik bilgi formudur. Veriler ebeveynlerle bireysel görüşmeler yapılarak toplanmış ve içerik analizi yöntemiyle, sıklık ve kategorik analizleri gerçekleştirilerek çözümlenmiştir. Yapılan çalışma sonunda ebeveynlerin çocuğa yönelik cinsel istismar hakkındaki görüşleri incelenmiş ve ebeveynlerin çocuğa yönelik cinsel istismar konusunda kısmi düzeyde bilgilerinin olduğu ve daha fazla bilgiye ihtiyaç duydukları belirlenmiştir. Yapılan çalışmanın özellikle K.K.T.C.’de ilgili literatüre ve çocukları cinsel istismardan korumada ebeveynlere yönelik yapılacak çalışmalara yön verebileceği düşünülmektedir.

Child sexual abuse (CSA); With the child’s consent or not, it includes any sexual activity done to the child. It was aimed to determine the level of knowledge levels about CSA and educational needs of the parents. This is a study conducted by phenomenological research method which is one of the qualitative research types. The study group was established with 70 voluntary parents who have children at the age of 8-10, studying at one primary school. A semi-structured interview form and an information form were used which were developed by researchers, The data were collected by individual interviews. Categorical and frequency analysis results were obtained according to the results of the content analysis. This study examines the views of parents on CSA. Although the parents have limited opinions about CSA and it was determined that they have needed more information. It is believed that the research conducted could lead to the relevant literatures in the T.R.N.C. and to the projects for parents about CSA.
