Dördüncü Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Özsaygı Düzeylerinin Ana BabaTutumları ve Empati Düzeyleri ile İlişkisinin İncelenmesi

Bu araştırmada, dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin özsaygı düzeylerinin ana baba tutumları ve
empati düzeyleri ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma grubunu, Ankara il merkezindeki
Çankaya, Keçiören, Sincan ilçelerinde öğrenim gören dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri
oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Coopersmith Özsaygı Ölçeği, Çocuklar İçin
Empati Ölçeği ve Ana-Baba Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada t-Testi, Kruskall-Wallis H
Testi, Mann- Whitney U Testi ve Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada,
Otoriter anne ve genel özsaygı arasında; otoriter anne ve toplam özsaygı arasında; otoriter
baba ve genel özsaygı arasında; otoriter baba ve sosyal özsaygı arasında; otoriter baba ve
toplam özsaygı arasında anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca söz konusu boyutlar arasında
negatif yönde ve düşük düzeyde; özsaygı ve empati arasında düşük düzeyde ve anlamlı bir
ilişki (r<0,30) olduğu görülmüştür.
An Examination of the Relationships of the Levels of Self-esteem ofFourth-Grade Students with their Parental Attitudes and Levels ofEmpathy
This research examines the relationship between the levels of self-esteem of fourthgrade students and their parental attitudes and levels of empathies. The research group
consists of fourth grade students from Çankaya, Keçiören and Sincan districts of Ankara. A
Personal Information Form, Coopersmith Self-esteem Scale, Empathy Scale for Children, and
Parental Attitudes Scale are used in the study. The t-test, Kruskall-Wallis H Test, MannWhitney U Test, and Pearson Correlation Coefficient were used in the study. In the study,
between authoritarian mother and general self-esteem; between authoritarian mother and
total self-esteem; between authoritarian father and general self-esteem; between
authoritarian father and social self-esteem; there is a significant relationship between
authoritarian father and total self-esteem. In addition, there is a negative and low ratio
relationship between the mentioned dimensions. It was also found that there was a low rate
of relationship and empathy. It was seen in the study that there is a negative and low
relationship between the mentioned dimensions and there is a low and significant difference
between self-esteem and empathy
