Psikoterapi, psikoterapist ve danışan arasında profesyonel bir ilişkinin olduğu, birçok faktörden etkilenen bir etkileşim sürecidir. Bu derleme çalışmasında psikoterapilerin danışanlar üzerinde etkili olmasında hangi faktörlerin belirleyici olduğu araştırılmıştır. Bu faktörler, psikoterapistten, danışandan hem psikoterapistten hem danışandan kaynaklanan faktörler ile terapötik çerçeve ve terapötik ilişki başlıkları altında sınıflandırılmıştır. Psikoterapistten kaynaklandığı düşünülen faktörler arasında psikoterapistin seanslar içerisindeki işlevselliği, yetkinliği, yeterliliği, sahip olduğu terapötik beceriler gibi özellikleri saymak mümkündür. Danışandan kaynaklanan faktörler arasında ise danışanın motivasyonu, seanstan beklentileri, psikolojik zihinliliği gibi kavramlar sayılabilmektedir. Psikoterapinin etkililiğini belirleyen diğer faktörler fiziksel ortam, süre, ücret gibi kavramlar terapötik çerçeve başlığı altında ele alınırken, terapinin doğasını ve işlevselliğini belirleyen terapötik ilişki diğer bir etmen olarak ele alınmıştır. Kullanılan bu kavram ve tekniklerin terapide kalımı ve sağlıklı bir ilişkinin kurulup sürdürülmesinde önemli olduğu görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda derleme çalışmasının literatüre önemli bir katkı sunacağı düşünülmektedir. Sonuç olarak, bu becerilerin öğrenilmesinde iyi bir eğitimin yanında deneyimli kişilerden süpervizyon alma, psikoterapistlerin teknikleri kavramasını ve uygulayabilmesini kolaylaştıracağı düşünülmektedir.

Psychotherapy is an interactive process in which there is a professional relationship between the psychotherapist and the client and is influenced by many factors. This review study, has been investigated the factors that determinant for psychotherapy to have an effect on clients. These factors are classified under the headings of factors that originating from psychotherapist, from client, from both psychotherapist and client; and therapeutic framework and therapeutic relationship. Among the factors that are thought to be caused by the psychotherapist, it is possible to consider the features of the functionality, competence, efficiency, therapeutic skills of the psychotherapist in the sessions. Among the factors arising from the client, concepts such as the client's motivation, expectations from the session and psychological mentality can be counted. In the presented study, while other factors that determine the effectiveness of psychotherapy such as physical environment, duration, and cost are discussed under the head of therapeutic framework, the therapeutic relationship that determines the nature and functionality of therapy is considered as another factor. It has been observed that these concepts and techniques used are important to staying in therapy, establishing and maintaining a healthy relationship. In this context, it is thought that the review study will make an important contribution to the literature. In conclusion, it is thought that, in addition to a good education in learning these skills, getting supervision from experienced people will make it easier for psychotherapists to comprehend and apply the techniques.
